It all began in the Galilee village of Sahknin in the year 1930 where our father Iskandar Mattar worked in cleaning copper products that required cleaning once and a while in order to make them suitable for preparing food.
At that time the industry of making cooking tools shifted to aluminum and thus the occupation of cleaning copper gradually disappeared. As a result, we moved to producing copper products and selling them in our village and in the adjacent villages in the year 1954.
