There are many challenges when creating a great, properly performing website. All aspects of creation must be considered, including: development and design; search engine optimization; the quality and presentation of content; and the website's ability to deliver all of this to visitors.
Definition
A website that is universally accessible is one that can be viewed on any browser, over any internet connection, and with any type of device, which is challenging with the different types of devices and connections now being used including a slow computer, old monitor, or slow dial-up connection. Even with these variables, it can be assumed that the reaction to accessibility is the same - if a website cannot be properly viewed within a few seconds, most visitors will click off and find another page that can be viewed.

Catering to the various needs of many different users can be hard, but it can be done. There are many ways to increase accessibility explained by Blue Atlas Marketing, including implementing good, basic website design to create an accessible internet location. Some of the elements of this type of website design includes: designs without flash; video, animation or audio that starts on its own; easily locatable, clean, straightforward navigation; subtle color schemes; and layout elements that make a web page easier to ready.
Benefits
The benefit of having a highly accessible internet presence is to reach more users and gain more conversions. By taking the time and expense to create a truly user-friendly website to be used in many different ways, so much can be gained by most businesses and organizations.
A recent study of websites designed to pinpoint what made web pages easier to use determined that eighty-one percent of all sites tested were not accessible by an average internet user on a newer model desktop or laptop. There really are not average users any more and those companies that do not acknowledge this fact will get left behind in any online competition.
