Ajax is just a simple way to do backend pulls and/or posts via javascript and jquery. I'm an expert with this.

I used to code with classic ASP prior to 2000. I usually used MS Access as a backend database for that. However I was an expert when I did use it.

I'm an expert with Javascript/Jquery. I can code HTML and Javascript by hand, and I'm pretty good with CSS. I can tweak different areas of the site with overriding css as needed to adjust things.

I'm a PHP expert. I've been hand coding PHP since 2004, and I can use it in any application including Drupal and Wordpress.

I had to learn Ruby on Rails VERY quickly about 2 years ago. I think I have a pretty solid grasp on the coding aspect of it. I understand the MVC framework, and how to create models or scaffold items. I'm not as good at the server items, but I was successful in setting up and running postgresql, the rails server, redis, and sidekiq. I know how to run delayed jobs, as well as async jobs.

I'm still a little wary and unsure about Fat Model, skinny controller though.

I've been a database programmer since 1992. I can hand code complex SQL statements including MySql, and its custom built in functions.

I'm and expert with Jquery! I even created a casino type game like Caveman Keno that's popular at many casinos. It looks similar and functions almost exactly the same. It was just a fun little project that I only run in my local web browser. I built it entirely with javascript and jquery.

I'm very interested in gaming and programming. I created a few fun little games with Jquery and javascript, and even started creating a car wars type game. I got as far as a scrolling arena, with a little car that turned 8 different directions and would stop when it encountered an object or wall. I used a jquery framework for that.

I have also started courses in Unity.

I have limited experience with Angular, but I have created a few pages that used javascript to pull from the database and display results on the angular page.

I consider myself mostly a full stack developer as I can built a site from beginning to end, however I'm not strong with design.

I'm an API expert, and I'm familiar with Rest and Soap, especially for login authorization.

My best experience with an API is IBM Watson's AI. I integrated this into both a Drupal and Ruby on Rails site to create automatic message responses, and some Chatbots.

I have from time to time done some page scraping to pull data, like phone numbers, or contact info.

I did it mostly with PHP, and ran the script from a command line so it wouldn't time out a web page.

One project that was fun, a guy needed all the model numbers for engines that he ordered from a site, so he could match up his database. I had the script run to hit the page, and first grab all the models, then run through the models and get years, then make then engine part number. It took about 5 hours and I ran it late to avoid hitting the site too hard.

Most of what I do is backend coding for Drupal, Wordpress, Ruby on Rails. I have also done endpoint coding for iOs and Android apps on a PHP server.

I think dynamic websites are the norm these days. I can create a custom PHP/MySql site with the proper database connections built in and drive the site data based on the content of the database, or use Drupal or Wordpress.

I can do simple websites and landing pages fairly quickly. It can be custom PHP with bootstrap, or simple wordpress theme.

Wordpress, custom API, it doesn't mattter. Integrated Stripe, and Paypal in custom PHP as well as by module in Wordpress and Drupal.

I create custom modules. I integrated IBM Watson's AI into a custom module to create automatic messaging and a Chatbot.

Minor experience with Joomla. Mostly debugging, and content for http://www.grandsierraresort.com. There were a lot of jquery/javascript collisions that had to be resolved in the beginning.

With wordpress I would consider myself more of a backend developer. I can built, layout, add content, add plugins, child themes, create custom plugins, just about ANYTHING except graphic design. Usually I work with a front end guy that takes what I've built and makes it pretty and polished.

http://www.hotaugustnights.net - I did some custom tweaks to this site, added all the Gravity Forms and logic, and installed and configured the WooCommerce part of it.

http://www.skiapache.com - I built this site, did some custom plugins to allow the owners to update Tram, Trail and Ski Slope status from the admin panel of Wordpress.

These are just two examples of sites I've worked on.

Responsive website development with Wordpress and Bootstrap to ensure it looks good full sized down to Cell phone.

I have about medium experience in Bootstrap. I can code it by hand as needed.

Integrated WooCommerce into http://www.hotaugustnights.net. Tweaked theme code to work with Woo.

Adjusted all settings and searched and added a custom add on to add tax and shipping in a unique way based on qty and price.
