  • Design, development and support of the production hospital medical decision support system.
  • During this period I was involved in design and implementation of various features of the above system in C++, in multithreaded distributed environment, both on Client and on Server side.
  • The most important of them are:
  •  Redesigning and refactoring the main Orders module.
  •  Design and implementation of the incorporate printing server.
  •  Redesign and refactoring of the Interface handling module.
  •  Design and implementation of new features in the Pharmacy interface and in the Medical Administration interface.
  •  Design and implementation of new GUI features on the Client side.
2004 - 2005

  • Design, development and support of the industrial management system for wide-format digital inkjet production printers. During this period participated in the following projects:
  •  Redesigning and rewriting the above system from C++ to .Net C#.
  •  Supporting the C++ production version of the above system.

Senior SW Engineer and team leader

  • Design, development and support of the industrial scale state-of-the-art EMS (Element Management System). During the four-year period realized the following subprojects as an infrastructure team member and team leader:
  •  TCP/IP-based CORBA-like Client/Server infrastructure module.
  •  Designed the Client/Server application & communication layers.
  •  Generic database access layer, which bypasses the standard MFC mechanism and connects directly to ODBC. Achieved performance improvement of about 50% was vital for product marketing.
  •  Database Connections Manager with effective data access and discriminative error handling and recovery, including application stand-by during DB crash or connection loss.
  •  Northbound SNMP interfaces for the higher-level EMS or NMS systems including development of the SNMP agent at the server side for processing SNMP requests.
  •  Alarm state propagation mechanism including state propagation through dynamically changing object graph.
  •  EMS client infrastructure including: managed objects topology, asynchronous updates from server, on-demand data retrieval from server based upon lazy initialization.
